  WT is a human rights violator according to the definition of state.gov and USA law - time for us to start putting pressure in lawmakers!

  quotingdirectly from the article...."it is the responsibility of governments to safeguard universal human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the right to life and the freedom of conscience, belief, practice, worship, and to explain and change ones faith.........people cannot enjoy religious freedom unless they have both the right to express their beliefs freely and change their religion without facing persecution, violence, or discrimination.... (ask yourself if the wt article i'm quoting next is allowing the freedom to change religion without discrimination and persecution.

  so with that being said.....is the wt protecting religious freedom?

  I 100% agree. The Borg completely abuses the freedom in which people should live. They always say that God gives man freewill. But they turn around and shun or bully those who practise such freewill by wanting to leave their religion. Hypocrisy.

  i could only manage to watch the part of the antitypical babylonian exile not being from 1914-1919, but from some time in the second century to 1919..

  for the interest on keeping tabs what family and former friends are being taught...what other new light was given?

  specifically, what is the new light in regard the mark?.

  There was and there is another WT study about enforcing shunning I thought. Seems they are ratcheting down control of late. I'm thinking some doctrinal change is on the horizon. Lett did seem to be talking about 607B.C. a bit.

  lol, funny you should mention that. The harping of bad conditions in the world, corruption, etc at the beginning of every talk. Then with that clincher paragraph at the end about God has a new system coming , soon, very soon, that will end all of the world problems. Predictable.

  Assembly baptisms/attendance - keep 'em coming!

  don't forget to post your reported assembly and convention attendance and baptisms and whether they are higher or lower than customary (if you know).. here's some detail passed to me of the last circuit assembly held at surrey (uk) assembly hall.. attendance 922 baptisms 3 (half circuit).

  How to handle invites to dinner after Sunday meeting?

  i have not been to a meeting for over a year.

  yesterday, when my wife returned from the 1 day assembly, i got an invite for dinner next sunday.

  i said i would think about it, to be honest, as nice as the people are, it would just be boring listening to their comments about everything jw.

  at the latest co visit something very strange happened.

  during the meeting with the elders and servants he passed out a copy of a hypothetical publisher card and asked us what we could learn from it.

  upon receiving it i saw that the average hours were pretty good, it had return visits and quite a few bible studies.

  I have heard that discussed before. Interestingly though, most JWs do not even know they can do this, however.

  "Friends" are gone

  i have (well had) an extremely small circle of jw friends.

  lots of acquaintances and associates but 2 or 3 i would consider my true friends.

  that list is now 0. yup, once i told them i no longer believe in the org and haven't for a long time, and their attempts to encourage me thru jw lingo and terminologies to "rely on jehovah" and not to "stray away" failed that was pretty much it.

  Agreed. Once you leave the Borg mindset of ''spiritual'', you have true friends who accept you for who the wonderful person you are. Not for the dogmatic, narrow-minded appearance of how the Borg instructs people to accept others.
